I was looking for something a bit different to the usual cushions and curtains books and this was just the thing. The instructions are very clear and easy to follow and I have made some lovely things from this book so far, it's rather addictive! If you want your house to look like a child's bedroom... If you want your house to look like a 5 year old's bedroom - then you'll love this book, If, on the other hand you are a grown up and don't feel the need to put a soft toy in every room in the house,or to have french vocabulary embroidered onto everything then you may be disappointed - as I was. It gave me a headache looking at it. excellent (19 January 2010)The designs in this book are just lovely! with lots of pictures and simple and easy to follow instructions and to scale patterns in the back! the best and most stunning sewing book i have bought! Pinkastic (13 January 2010)By page three of this book I experienced a severe reaction to its 'pinkness'. Every page is packed full of twee and sickly candy coloured designs. Some of the ideas are quite pleasant but most are not particularly practical. There is a limit to how many pink eye masks and pink strawberries I want kicking about my house. I am a bit disappointed really but plan to utilise some of the ideas and execute them all in black to counteract my nasty pink side effects. If you want your house to look like a disney set, this is the book for you. The best in the series (11 January 2010)I've bought three of the Sew Pretty/Sew Sunny series and this is definitely the best. The projects are so inspiring and very simple to do. The pictures in the book are beautiful and made me want to redecorate the whole house in this lovely style! A real bargain buy - you'll spend hours browsing and sewing! | |
