| ![]() | Customer Reviews:![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() knitting (09 March 2010)brilliant book, picture quality is good, did not know you could include beads & sequins in your work, enjoyed it & still enjoying it, would like to get more books like it. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Excellent ideas (28 February 2010)Although not necessarily new patterns or stitchcombinations, it definitely provides a wealth of ideas and inspirations for those amongst us who are not hugely inevntive ourselves. I have already earmarked several projects and have started one to use up my stash. Even if you don't go to the expense to buy the featured yarns the results from using my stash look georgeous. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Not amazing but worth buying (23 February 2010)This book isn't qute as exciting as I hoped it would be. None of the blankets are particularly to my tastes and there isn't a massive amount of variation between the patterns. That said, there are enough different patterns that I can mix and match and choose colours and combinations more to suit my taste. There is some useful information on blocking and sewing together the squares, choosing yarn and caring for finished pieces. I wouldn't recommend this book to a total beginner but someone who knows the basics and how to follow patterns should get on fine with it. NOTE - The copy of the book I received was not spiral bound as some other reviewers have mentioned. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() lovely (08 February 2010)I bought this book after seeing it at my Mums. Its full of great ideas, as someone who only really knows knit one purl one, it's great to have something to get my teeth into! Although I must say it's not really for beginners unless you know all the knitting lingo. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Happy Customer!! (03 February 2010)What a great book! Have already completed one of the recommended throws and can't wait to knit more......patterns are very easy to understand and diagrams/photos give great guidance to make sure you are completing project correctly. Some really nice patterns that can be alternated to design an individal throw of your own choice........well recommended for any knitter - even beginners......if you can knit and purl you will be able to follow most of the patterns! | ![]() |
